"Hello there, my name is Liz. I will be your aide for the night." That used to be my life, working as a nurse's aide, planning to get more training in the medical field. Of course, I'd always had this dream of one day coming to Canada for a year at least, because I wanted to experience life here. I was born here, but we moved away when I was just little.
God saw that dream and said, "Now. Now is the time to fulfill that dream." So here I am, the new first and second grade teacher at Birchwood Christian School. I have five students, and a lot of fun and hard work.
After going on PWTC in 2011, I truly feel at home with the First Nation people and eagerly await more chances to interact with them.
Some things I enjoy are music, science, reading, people, new experiences, anything medical, and learning, always learning new things.
I look forward to discovering what God has for me in the coming year. I also look forward to meeting new people and experiencing new things and making many new friends.
God bless!
Dear God... Thank-you for bringing me to this place I've dreamed about since I was little. Please help me to not break the trust the parents of my students put in me as I teach them everyday. Help me to grow and be stretched during my time here. May everything I do, every word I say, every second of my time here, be to Your glory.
In Jesus' name,
Amen
